"Figure it out" and "its not hard" are mutually exclusive terms with me. Pick one, man! I've got, like, two functional hamsters in here, and they're basically just playing with my remaining spoons instead of generating (brain)power!

I'm afraid by Friday afternoon's I'm all tapped out on being able to help others on the road to enlightenment.

The 4th of July. My city banned fireworks this year going forward. Oh course my neighbors didn’t get the memo and the big booms (they celebrate early on the 3rd and continue for several days after) are just one level below shaking my window. My partner and two pets with PTSD love this day and New Year’s Eve.

Yeah, unfortunately I wouldn't expect that to stop anyone. Fireworks are completely illegal in my city, and several surrounding ones, but I've seen pop up fireworks stores in parking lots directly under the "More pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other day, fireworks are illegal" banners that go up every year. I have the great misfortune to live across the street from a very large parking lot, so for the past few weeks there have been people setting off fireworks at random times. Including during the day, when you can't really see them.
Living in a city has made me do a 180 on fireworks, I wish the firework bans were actually enforced.

Our grrrl has been leery of pills tucked in treats since she was a puppy. At 13.5yrs, she’s only gotten increasingly skilled at “cheeking” her meds to spit out later, unobserved. She’s still getting MOST of her regimen, but it’s not uncommon for us to find little blue or brown pills in various corners of the house or even the yard a few times a week.

Of course she is. She's a border collie.

I guess I had really checked out of that thread for a while but, looking back, it sure did leave a body count. The schadenfreude tickles.
