People have tried to convince me in so many ways that those things are edible, and I’m like “Sure, if you like the taste of vinegar and dirt mixed together.”

Hmmm... I think I'm going to rename Beet and Lima Bean Hummus to The Devil's Dirty Balls Dip.

I seem to be in the minority here. I quite enjoy brussel sprouts, beets, and lima beans.

I am picky with brussel spouts, however. I don't like them raw, even shredded and mixed in a salad. Most places serve them too underdone, though I don't like them mushy either. My favorite way to prepare them is the steam them a bit and then fry them in a hot skillet or wok with garlic and a little salt.

One problem with skipping most of the thread in EN World, especially those with lots of pages of posts (or stopping following them after a couple of pages) is that half the posts to this thread go over my head. Most of the time I don't know what y'all are referring to.

Apparently, I'm just hear for the food discussions and memes.
