On next door, a woman is complaining that CPS has been called on her twice for letting her kids play outside unsupervised.

Hell, once I got old enough to cross the street on my own, my mother would throw me out the door in the morning and tell me if I wasn't going to be home for dinner to call... A few times she got calls from me and my brother to tell her we'd gone out of state with friends and their parents and we wouldn't be home for a few days. Her standard response to anything short of the cops telling her we were dead was, "Well, I'm not cooking again... There are leftovers in the fridge."

I definitely get that. I hate that smell. I was really glad when the neighbours, who smoked constantly and stayed up all hours, likely because Meth, were evicted. The problem is that I work in a university and making weed legal means they don't hide that they're smoking it anymore.

Driving into and out of downtown Toronto it's 50/50 if I'm going to smell weed coming from another car. Then there are the construction workers who get in roughly around the time that I do, when I go in to work on-site. The number of them who reek of weed smoke is ridiculous.

Its wild here. I've got 3 neighbors around me, and 4 dispensary within 10 minutes in any direction I could go. Read another article how the high THC % in modern weed is causing increased rates of psychosis.

A buddy moved to the rural country during Covid. There are two schools for kids in nearby towns. A smoke shop opened and invested in a billboard sized neon marijuana leaf lol. I’m not sure what the city council or zoning laws are but I’m guessing if it’s not within 300 ft if a school this is 302 ft away

The serious 6e threads started around 2018/2019. The joke ones go back to 2009. Believe it or not, the first 7e thread was 2022.

For a group of people stuck in the past and unable to move past rules written in 1974, we're a very forward thinking bunch.

We were barely supervised, like esp playing outside. I didn't supervise my kids either 20 years ago. Soon there will be the AI police car stopping you on a walk for retrogressive behavior. "Citizen! Why have you not checked your notifications on social media?"
