When something isn’t tight or secure, it’s loose, with two OOs.

When you are loose with your spelling, you lose.

(A doomed and futile response to many threads here and everywhere. “Loose” seems to have become the dominant spelling of “lose” in the ‘20s.)

Malapropisms drive me nuts. Especially so when it's someone like a radio host or newscaster, who should know better. I hear, "I could care less." on an almost daily basis.
