Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Look, I'm not one to say that vehicle choice is, or should be, gendered. People like what they like, and gendered stereotypes do a lot of harm and no good. And yet ...

Today, for the first time, I saw a woman driving a cybertruck.

I have questions.
To quote the comedian Hari Kondabolou:

"Well you see I am an environmentalist and my husband's a expletive expletive. This is how we compromise to keep the sham marriage together."

The best definition of compromise I heard was at mediation-

A good compromise is when both parties leave a little unhappy, and all the lawyers leave a lot richer.

Today's fun fact!

The Toronto Blue Jays are in the World Series! For the first time since 1993, when they WON the World Series. A lot of people are talking about how long it has been since Toronto, a city in the made-up country of ... Mordor? No, Timhortonstan, last won the World Series.

But that's not the fun fact. The fun fact? It was the exact same year as the last time Timhortonstan won the Stanley Cup.

The '90s are back!

Everyone loves to mention the 32 year Stanley Cup drought, but no one ever mentions the 32 year World Series drought or the even-worse "Canada has never won a Super Bowl".

I know! Even the JETS have won a Super Bowl.

That's right - the Canada is right there with the Cleveland Browns. Canada is the factory of sadness.
A lot of people don't know that Art Modell tried to move the Browns to Nova Scotia, but Canada refused to take them (because it was the Browns). Baltimore was the the sadly accepted fallback choice.

A lot of people also forget Bill Belichick was the prime minister of Canada for one day, before he quit to become the coach of the Patriots.

That's really weird, because yesterday I saw my first woman cybetruck truck driver and had to do a double take.

Whenever I see a cybertruck on the road, my brain can't help but create a mental image of its driver.

It's never flattering.
I used to count how many of them I saw on the road, but now it's too many to bother with. Hell, there are several that drop kids off at my son's school. At this point I just look for weird colors.

I didn’t set out to make this Bruce’s Weird Music Corner Day, but the YouTube algorithm is on a roll and so am I.

Y'know, I briefly had a job running a welding machine making, among other things, the wire guards for fans like that. I had no idea I was making musical instruments... :)
On the other hand, I did once hang a few of them up and give an improv percussion performance with some thick metal wires as drumsticks. In addition to the standard tapping/banging and a decent "ting" sound if you hit it right, you can also get a really good snare drumroll out of dragging the end of your "stick" across several of the wires.

I have questions why anybody would drive a cybertruck they be fugly.

They look... unfinished. It's like somebody built a life-sized metal version of a Pinewood Derby car.
