I don't know why it's become so normal to refuse to provide a source if someone asks for it, and increasingly to be rude to the person asking for it, but I don't care for it.

You want a source? Don't you trust me? Is my word somehow not good enough? Why are you so hung up on facts? We all know what's true: Cyborg Commando is the best RPG ever published, and every other RPG including [your favorite RPG] is a travesty and insult to gamers everywhere! Just admit it and get on with playing, I say!

I was listening to a panel recording from a recent gaming convention and listening to the panelists acknowledge game after game that they had not only not played, but not even heard of. People, if your expertise is what you're promoting about yourself, maybe work on learning something new in your field on a regular basis.

Every time I get a work email citing Google Gemini or ChatGPT, I die a little inside, especially when an ordinary Google search would show that the AI's take on things is incorrect.

There was a recent reddit post in which an individual said that not only did they give "heartfelt recommendations" for a game, but they accepted a position as a moderator of the relevant board...without ever having played it.
