No trick or treating here. Tomorrow something similar happens but without the implicit vandalism. Meanwhile we did the altar today.

I think our last group of trick or treaters is finally done*. Probably around 80-100 kids this year, plus adults. Friday is a great night for Halloween, and the weather was decent (windy but not too cold).

*Of course, as soon as I say that, one last couple shows up.

I only had about 20 but it’s also raining here.

Lots of "Trunk or Treats" in the area here don't help (including one tonight in addition to at least five within a few miles over the past week and a half).

Had six groups of kids (14 in total) though - so not bad for our awkward spot in the neighborhood. Mostly little ones that will hopefully be back in the future.

Nice. Our house is filled with skulls, sugar skulls, Catrinas, and alebrijes. But no papel picado for some reason. Always loved marigolds. My dad always had great timing. He died on 1 November a few years back.

They did that to us this time and I’m a bit pissed. We usually have a big parade and then everyone goes home to trick or treat after. They moved the parade because they didn’t want it to interfere with their precious high school football game.
