The friend who often bails on plans at the last minute has basically told another friend to stay home, because they have a cough, so if he follows his usual pattern of behavior it's looking likely that only one person will show up for what was going to be the Christmas gift exchange. I might genuinely replace his gifts with coal.

Well, this was quite the day.

Yesterday I decided it was time to do one of my semi-annual atrial fibrillation events (I converted late last night but was stuck in the hospital until a couple hours ago), then came home to discover one of our dogs had escaped the yard (she's had four years to do that, but did it now) though we were lucky and she hadn't gotten far.

I think I'm going to have a nap.

Yow. A nap sounds like a really good idea.
