I don't get the gorilla reference, but I remember the dress. In fact, it came up in conversation just the other day ...
As an aside, I introduced my 17-year-old to Scott Pilgrim vs the World the other day. Still one of my all-time favorite movies. This time it got me thinking, and I went and looked up the ages of the main cast. As I suspected, most of them were born in the 80s like me ... Scott Pilgrim is very much a Millennial movie, and that may be why it resonates so much with me. Luckily, my Gen Z daughter enjoyed it too.
p.s. I am an Elder Millennial - one of those sometimes called an Xennial. I'm old enough to remember when we were still known as Gen Y, which is why the next generation is Gen Z.
