Lots of major companies have been laying off their SDET groups and expecting the initial coders to test their code. You have SDET for the same reason that you have proofreaders for authors; they're blind to their own mistakes.

Man its absolutely hilarious to me that we are so fragile as a global network. One company screws up, how much of an impact is this having? I woke up to the emails, I had gone to bed thinking it was an Azure issue, that was the last article I read, and now its global news.

So, I got ants. A lot of ants.

Haven't needed the pest control company I use for a couple of years and we are down to the dregs of the bait they put out last time (it is a pet safe gel substance in short cut up straws). I find out their tracking system is down because the web service they use is down. They are literally trying to remember the client schedule for today from their hazy memory of the calendar they saw in the past couple of days...

I know this is not payroll (mine went off without a hitch) or banking or airline travel or medical systems or anything else super important but, ANTS!
