Is there a map of the natural disasters that affect each region? It feels like there's probably not any that are truly spared. (Although, obviously, there are places where everyone's comfortable with blizzards or glancing blows from hurricanes, etc.)
The 6.7 Northridge Quake, which I was awake for, came from a previously unknown fault.

Yeah, we're kind on tenterhooks here. Had a big one off the south coast a week or two ago and that's supposed to be the preview of a once in 300 years big one. Yeesh. The volcano going off a few years back was bad enough.

Yeah, I've been thinking I want to visit Key West for the first time soon, because the experience is going to be not-great within 20 years on the outside.
The place I live is about 140' above sea level. Miami is 6 1/2'.

Of course the main problem here won't be water anyway; it'll be fire.

(The earthquake thing is so close to random if I was going to worry about it I'd have been doing it for 40 years...).
