I'm just old enough that I remember smoking sections in restaurants, which in hindsight is such a silly concept. That half wall in the Pondarosa did nothing..

Luckily my parents didn't like to smoke while eating, but boy.. That car ride home after dinner was ROUGH

Smoking sections were a good idea when you consider the alternative at many places was the whole restaurant was a smoking section. Smoking was just so much more the norm at the time. Some did it better than others. The good places divided the restaurant in half with a hall separating the sections. There used to be ashtrays in malls as well

For my one phone call, I'd have a hard time choosing between getting a carpet upgrade for the jail (588-2300) or just jamming out for a while (718-387-6962).
