Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

"In the cuisine of the United States, Greek pizza is a style of pizza crust and preparation where the pizza is proofed and cooked in a metal pan rather than stretched to order and baked on the floor of the pizza oven. A shallow pan is used, unlike the deep pans used in Sicilian, Chicago, or Detroit-styled pizzas. Its crust is typically spongy, airy, and light, like focaccia but not as thick. The crust is also rather oily, due to the coating of oil applied to the pan during preparation.

In the United States, Greek-style pizza is common in New England and parts of eastern New York State."

Yeah, I used to deliver for a lot of places that made Greek Pizza and they all used the shallow pan and most I think put dry milk powder in the crust (I could be wrong that is just something I saw with my eyes at a couple of places). It kind of took me a while to develop a taste for it because when I was a kid it was mostly Italian thin slices around here, but that changed around the time I was in high school

Makes sense. The owners of the one pizza place that I mentioned were originally from somewhere in Western NYS.

There are quite a few Greek Pizza places here in Philadelphia as well. I've never been a fan. We have way more NY style places though, so finding good pizza isn't tough (though none of it beats NY pizza from NY).

I find nothing worse than ordering from a pizza place where the photo looks like a NY style pizza, and when it arrives - greek style. Had it happen, but never more than once for any particular pizza place. Usually right after a change in ownership. Oof.

It's never enough "free stuff", is it?
He's a middle schooler. He only has a hazy idea of money. He also hasn't discovered that some portion of the 26 people who signed up for D&D club aren't going to be showing up often enough to merit their own set of dice.

If the club actually gets off the ground, I might find out how many kids are showing up consistently and surprise them all with dice sets at the end of the year.

There are worse ways to help kids grow.

I swear D&D got me into my profession and helped my GRE score.

A lot of reading bored me to tears but there I was just a kid learning high Gygaxian…

For vocab, not sentence structure ;)

I still remember encountering "carbuncle" on the verbal SATs, after first learning the world from the 1E Fiend Folio.

I started out sharing a set with the table.. It's not the worst thing in the world. Usually only one person is rolling at a time anyway.

Plus I'd bet most of these kids have phones where they could get dice rolling apps,

They could use a deck of cards.. Red cards are 1-10, black cards are the same but +10

Or heck, I've heard people play in prison using numbers written on slips of paper in a hat or a cup.

But with that said.. Rolling dice is one of the most fun parts of the game. A Pound o' Dice or two would probably go a long way.

I'd also suggest having someone involved reach out to wizards. I'm sure there's a division that helps with these kind of things. I know Magikids exists for MTG clubs, but I don't know if there's a similar group for D&D
