If you mean THE Portland, and not the East Coast pretender to the title, then I'll say that the Pacific Northwest seems to do food right. By that I mean in the way that someone from the Toronto area can appreciate ;)
I specified East coast.

I lived in Seattle for three years, and they certainly do have some good food in that neck of the woods.

Your ignorance of the food in Portland, ME is your own loss. ;)

To be fair it's been maybe 20 years since I was last there, so things have undoubtedly changed since then.

I'd take Portland ME over NY any day (especially things like Lobster)

The Bagel shop I used to work at was just outside of Boston. We had real, traditionally made kosher bagels. These are still the best bagels I have ever had, and I've had NY bagels (not saying everyone would feel that way, but I really liked them). We'd still get people come in from New York, take a bite and tell us to our face "These are good, but not as good as NY bagels". I don't mind folks liking their local cuisine, but that kind of attitude just soured me for the rest of my life on new york food

Seeing the McLobster and clam chowder, in Maine, was a bit of a head snap.

Lost my sense of smell/taste a few days ago, didn't worry about it.

Wife lost hers this morning, so dug out a test kit.

Seems we have Covid. :ROFLMAO:

Our response differences, highlights why men live shorter lives lol.
Yeah, my wife and I had vastly different experience with COVID. She lost taste and smell while I got COVID induced vertigo... I have long COVID, she does not. Life is not fair.

My brother in law had that and ended up in a car accident as a result. Be careful with it
