Because what you really want, driving around the mountain back roads of Vermont, is a scared and angry badger in your lap.

I'm sure there's probably a reddit page for people that are into that...

Er, anyone know what happened with Snarf? :(

He drunkenly mumbled something about the bards finally coming for him before he wandered off and passed out.

No, not everything you personally dislike fits under that convenient umbrella term you use to beat other posters over the head. Sorry you don’t know the definition of the word you keep using. Points for making it everyone else’s problem though.

Depends on what era Judge Dredd you mean. Early days it was a satire of the US and policing. Quickly added Thatcher to the mix and went from there. In time they seem to have dropped the satire (or some fans just never noticed coz they loved the kill all the criminals angle), and just went straight “police brutality is good actually.” The Stallone film is closer to the earlier tone while the Urban film is closer to the later tone. It’s like Batman. You have both Adam West’s Batman ’66 and Frank Miller’s Dark Knight. Same character, wildly different style and tone. I still haven’t seen Urban’s Dredd.

It's excellent but, as you suggest, it doesn't engage with any of the extremely problematic aspects of Mega-City One, which is a shame, since Urban does so many thoughtful genre movies and shows.
It's a really good movie, but does arguably play it a little too straight. The satirical aspect will likely go over the heads of the critically-impaired.

OTOH, it did in Robocop too, so that may not be entirely the fault of the movie.

The fun thing about Kickstarters is when they take long enough to ship that you forget what you pledged for and it's like a surprise present when your order arrives.
I just got a text message from a friend. His sister is an artist and did a kickstarter for these cute pins that look like ghosts made out of food. I backed it over the summer and totally forgot about it. Apparently I didn't get the email for the final information update and she couldn't ship them to me because of it. So she reached out to her brother who in turn reached out to me and told me to get my act together.

So I should have some cute pins on the way
