Picking a year to bring back is an interesting one. Do we want to go pre-public internet? Pre-cell phone? Pre-(various disastrous real world events that would make this too political if mentioned here)?

I wouldn't hate going back to late 1990s music and aesthetics, honestly, as silly as they were, even at the time.
1994 was a banger for music releases. I'd take it again.

I might go as far as "I've never seen that," but it's aiming at similar points, I think--though I do prefer to deploy that when what I've never seen is a thing someone says is inevitable.

Well, that's the gig: if you say "X never happens", even one person claiming to see it puts you in the position that you're either wrong or need to claim they're either a liar or mistaken. Statements of commonality mean you may be wrong, but claims to the contrary just put it on a case of attempting to figure who's experiences and evaluations are stronger which leaves room for neither to be liars or disingenuous.

According to the downloader, I have 4 minutes 17 minutes 4 hours 132 days left on this download...

That seems a bit excessive.

(And you thought your internet was slow... ):p

I've seen that one before. Apparently downloaders get a bit--confused--on occasion (or, alternatively the pipeline is so ruddy slow for some reason its being accurate. I don't know what is worse.)
