There is a sudden uptake of posters asking about love spells and flight planning.
It's not regular spam, imho, it's a bot attack. So, do we know anyone who's petty, has reason to bear a grudge against ENWorld, would benefit from it being swamped right now, and has the technical knowledge to do it (or the crypto currency to pay someone else to)?

That would be the dumbest flex from that guy, yet. And still, now that you mention it, it's plausible...

Well, said guy was reportedly using a lot of bots to shill his stuff on Bluesky and promised action when called out for issues with them. Only to turn around and ban the guy who called him on the bot use, apparently.

That would be the dumbest flex from that guy, yet. And still, now that you mention it, it's plausible...

It would be a really dumb flex when:
1) It is during off-hours, so few users are impacted.
2) It takes only a short time to fix.
3) There is no message about why it is happening.

You guys may not be aware, but we get a lot of incompetent spam. A normal spamming operation with rate limits carelessly set too high might produce this effect. Do not ascribe to malice that which can be explained by normal stupidity.
