Krispy Kreme kinda came and went here. It certainly didn't last very long.

Then again, I'm still a Timmy's fan, despite not living in Canada for a very long time. But, I do have to say, when I went back home last Christmas, I went to TImmy's and, wow, that coffee is swill. It get better coffee in 7/11 here.

Tim's has been ruined across the board, pretty sad but capitalism strikes again.

I'm from the midwest and so grew up with Dunkin (back in the day the creme filled long johns were the thing!).

Down here in the land of Krispy Kreme now [with some Dunkins too], I can completely understand why folks like the ones hot off the assembly line. If they're not still hot, they're just donuts. They do have some good seasonal ones sometimes, but wow are they not cheap anymore.

The whole concept of trying to turn it into some sort of bistro, rather than a rock steady coffee and doughnut house, seems to have been a rather large mistake. They wanted to compete directly with Starbucks, when they had a market niche already sewn up. Overall profitability has fallen, due to the need to carry so much diverse inventory. The parent company also squeezed the franchisees, so they're taking it on both ends.
