Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I appreciate the correction!

I always have pronounced "Connecticut" as "New York suburbs."

That's only the southwestern corner of the state - the other three corners are pronounced Eastern Upstate NY, Western RI, and Southern Massachussetts...

Whenever I look at something like this, I realize that if English was a programming language, I would be unable to write code in it, in any functional way. I simply do not know the actual rules, or components beyond a casual level.

English is the Calvinball of languages.

I'm sure someone will explain or question the science and ruin the joke but:

Just remember;
  • its a game
  • you still have a game that does the job and have been for 10 years.
  • you dont have to follow a company if you dont like the direction taken.

Dont let such inconsequential things have an negative effect on you!

Counterpoint: "All these gamers not playing the latest edition of D&D are actively harming the hobby, because unless one company gets all the profits, no gaming company will make enough money to be taken seriously in Corporate America."
-- my paraphrase of an actual talk I heard Ryan Dancey give at GenCon in the early 2000s.

I don't agree with his priorities, but it was an eye-opening moment, not gonna lie.

I mean, I don't think he's wrong, but I don't see why one would want to be "taken seriously in Corporate America"? Make enough money to pay your workers well and keep making more products, and that should be enough to make anyone happy.
