Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

You seem to have carefully calibrated your presumptions to render all discussion incoherent. Good job, well done.

I think that the world* would be a better place if people would understand one simple thing-

It's okay to be wrong. Really. And it's fine to admit it. No one, in the history of ever, is correct all the time. It's better to confess error gracefully, and move on, than to just keep arguing. And you know what? Everyone else appreciates it, and will think more of you as a person, not less, if you do that.

*By "world," I mean world. But mostly the internet.

1. Start with any legendary monster.
2. Change its AC to be (highest attack bonus in the party) + 9.
3. Maximize the monster's hit points. Then double it, if the party is level 15 or higher.
4. Give the monster a damage bonus to all attacks equal to the level of the party.
5. Double the monster's initiative.
6. If the monster can cast 3rd level spells, change one of them to Counterspell.

I agree that the world would be better if people believed that.

Unfortunately, we are built largely on the operating system of creatures with strong social status structures that impact chances of survival of the individual or their genes. Competing for status is still a thing we do, without even requiring our conscious thought to engage in the competition.

We CAN overcome that innate tendency. But it takes a lot of work on the part of each individual.
