Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I just took one of my kids there the other day and chatted with the staff. It was a a wild trip down memory lane…but I do remember what it was like to get grief from rude customers.

It sucked but on the other hand prepared and Hardened me for married life!

So .... instead of Life is like a box of chocolates ....

Wife is like a angry customer that got the wrong Value Meal.....

Not sure that this will play well on the big screen, but I'm rooting for ya!

Haha

My old man made me go to the unemployment office as teen to look for work.

“But dad, you always give me money to go to McDonald’s…why?”

His sage reply: “so you know what it takes to make that money.”

Of note, the job they hooked me up with was
Fast food!

I never worked in fast food but hearing some of the stories from high school classmates from the places they worked made me be very careful about how I treat fast food workers.

Haha not sure some days how much value the customer places on the meal!

Right now today. Next “shift” who knows?!

Two points.

1. As a general rule, Italian grandmothers are not open minded, unless the question is, "Should they eat more food?"

2. The Italian grandmother would hunt down and kill anyone using an Italian seasoning packet, with extreme prejudice. After asking them if they have had enough to eat.
My wife was born and raised in Italy, I can confirm this to be accurate.

We went to her grandparents for lunch and her grandmother was so worried she didn’t make enough food for us that when we left, she packed up some bread, salami, and cheese for us to bring with in case we were still hungry. I tried to explain we were good and my wife gave me the look, explained to her grandmother I meant to say we were good with taking the food, and explained on the way home if her grandmother or mother were sending us away with food, shut up and take it. You don’t tell an older Italian woman offering food no. :ROFLMAO:

See also Jewish and Creole grannies, too. Many stories to tell…

In one, I arrived somewhere in the middle of a family reunion. I was immediately ushered into the kitchen to be introduced to The Consortium of Creole Grannies, seated and given a plate of spaghetti & meatballs not much smaller than my head. Halfway through that TROUGH of pasta, sauce & meat, one of the grans said “now don’t fill up too much- it’s almost dinner time!”

My ghast was completely flabbered, because I thought I WAS eating dinner.

Articles and studies are coming out now on the damage social media is causing. It may take a bit longer, since even a few short years ago people claimed social media wasnt harmful (lol) but once a sober analysis is done, we will see that an entire generation has been damaged.

Yup. Just like television and printed books.
