Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I have soooo many soundtracks & scores, and TD (and the individuals) are behind many of them.

Some soundtracks aren’t just good, IMHO, they’re cultural/musical touchstones in and of themselves.

Some of my faves:

Legend
Miami Vice 1
Heavy Metal 1
Judgement Night
Strange Days
The Crow
1984
Godzilla
Koyaanisqatsi
Risky Business
Less Than Zero
The Song Remains the Same
Blade Runner
Antarctica
Chariots of Fire
This one evokes a rather specific set of memories. It's also rather long :ROFLMAO:

The funny thing about this track is how creepy it seems because of the short clip used in The Exorcist, but if you listen to the entire track it becomes not creepy but sort of whimsical.
Oh, definitely. And side 2 is very different from side 1. I had the vinyl for decades, until I finally decluttered a few years back (to get more clutter).

So, you just reminded me of when I tried to show my Dad, at 4, how I knew how to ride my bike!

Note: I dont really have memory of this, but the story has been told and I've seen the pictures of the aftermath.

I was 4, and the townhouses we lived in had those big concrete steps up from the sidewalk, with little cobbles between each house. My Dad gets home from work or school, and in my excitement I tell him I've learned to ride a bike. He say's oh thats great!

He then proceeds to accelerate me well beyond what my little legs could do myself, and I go face first, and remember kids we didnt have helmets in the old days, right into the concrete steps. I've never seen a better set of black eyes. :ROFLMAO:
I was around 9 or 10.. I lived on top of a pretty steep hill, and the neighbor kid and I used to spend all day riding our scooters down the hill.

One day I hit a rock or stick or something and wiped out pretty bad. With perfect timing my dad pulls around the corner in the van and is about to head up the hill to the house. He stopped, asked how I was doing. I checked myself out in the side-view mirror of the car to see that I looked like Harvey Dent after using half my face to slow myself to a stop. I mention to my dad that I think I broke my scooter, and he said something along the lines of "Well, that sucks.. See ya at the house kiddo"

And then proceeded to drive home leaving me at the bottom of the hill. I drag the scooter and myself back home, and as soon as I approach the door I'm accosted by my little sister who is furious that I damaged the scooter we shared. I head inside and my mom freaks out because I look like I was in a fight or something and she asks what happens. I explain the story to her and she pieces it together that my dad had just arrived home before me, and we must have crossed paths. I confirm that we did.. So she gets up, and storms off to go yell at him!

I'm just standing there like "WTF man.. I'm bleeding here." Finally my older brother walked by and took me into the bathroom where he proceeded to extract a few pebbles from my knees with tweezers and dump peroxide over my wounds.

Parents are wild.

Can you dig it?

I can dig it.

I really wanted to like Greta but they didn't quite work for me. Somewhat similar vibe, I like a good amount of Crown Lands' stuff.

I had trouble getting into them as well. I like Led Zeppelin and miss that classic big sound, but there was something a little uncanny about the band (I don't know if there is a term for this but I have encountered the same thing in metal, I call them aesthetic bands, in that they capture a particular musical aesthetic, like an earlier bands sound)

I'm not overly fond of a lot of their stuff (I like it enough to listen if it's on, but not enough to seek it out) except that "Black Smoke Rising" is an absolute banger anthem in the classic mold and I won't hear otherwise! It's firmly on my "Fight the Power" playlist.

Derivative.
