Got a guy in my gaming group who constantly uses word salad generator to post stuff to our game chat.

Yesterday he asked me if my character thought much about philosophy. I said "probably ethics, but wouldn't think much about other areas of philosophy." He then came back at me with some effing word salad about "balance" and expected a response.

Which has prompted an actual philosophical question.

What's worse at making up bs philosophy, chatgbt or the Star Wars writers room?

ChatBotGBT.

Fun fact, one of the main groups of professors who were able to see ChatGPT shenanigans when the lyrics started where philosophy teachers: their students started turning in more grammatically complex papers, that were illogical gibberish.

ChatGPY cannot coke to valid conclusions, and won't if pushed: it just gueses the next proper.grammatical choice, not logical.

My mom (I love her, even when she's kind of a handful) has started sending us a ton of generational-themed memes. You've seen the ones I'm talking about; people on the train reading the newspaper with a caption "MY GENERATION'S CELL PHONE" and so forth...

...one of these days I'll send her this one in return.
