For me its not that hard to believe a developer would make no MTs a selling point. I just cant see an IP like Potter doing so. Even though it says "no plans" that isnt a promise it wont ever change. Of course, lot of folks will take it as a solemn promise not to ever do it and go coo-coo bananas about it if they do.

Right now the word surrounding it is the game will be dead in six months with no microtransaction to drive the devs to add stuff ¯\(ツ)/¯ . You have the folks screaming "dead game" who would have also screamed "MICROTRANSACTIONS " There's also a legacy pack for those who played Hogwarts Legacy. I'm tempted to buy the game but my plate is already overflowing

Despite what some would prefer to happen, the IP isn't going away anytime soon. There's still the Lego game done in the same style as The Skywalker Saga for star wars. Then the upcoming show from Max. Along with the illustrated/anniversary editions of the last few books.

I treat it the same as cigaret smoke. If people are showing consideration it's fair, if people don't care how many old people, children, or others in general are when they are blowing smoke, I think that is a bit rude. Also people smoking on the road in their car, the issue there for me isn't the smoke, it is that they are getting high behind the wheel

I actually don't mind the vaping. It's way better than walking through a cloud of nasty cigar smoke, or stinking up everything within 20 yards with menthol cigarettes. I'll take grape and cotton candy any day over tobacco.

The smell has always turned my stomach, even though I didn't really notice it lingering on me when I left the house. I hated paying (socially) for the vice of others.

Nicotine vapes are still common but those clouds aren't as smelly or nasty, and I'm not regularly around folks puffing big clouds.

One of Canada's weed retailers, Tokyo Smoke, is closing 29 of its locations (out of 40, I believe), and is seeking creditor protection. It seems that selling legal weed isn't as profitable as some think.
