Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Not sure where else to put this, but I am enjoying the various gamebook / crpg run through that people are doing, even if it is affecting my dreams (dreamt about one gamebook runthrough where any combat was done through the gold box crpgs)
Ha, glad to hear it. I haven't even really gotten going with this month's game, but I'm already thinking about what else I'll run this year.

Pet peeve of mine:

If you are arguing that some rule/lore/whatever should be part of the base game, telling people that don’t agree with you that they can just ignore whatever they don’t like in their campaign is probably as unsatisfying to them as the option of just adding that particular rule/role/whatever to your campaign without it being part of the core game would be to you.

Of course, the corollary is also true. If you don't care (much) about what's in the default lore in the core game, you're probably equally unbothered by addition and subtraction thereto. (And you probably tend to find all those kinds of arguments uninteresting.)

The Witcher is a pretty silly show a lot of the time, but I love that the mages actually do the stuff that we never see them do in other franchises: "I want to be super-hot without dieting and exercising" and "I want to dress cool*", all using magic.

* for a very nerdy take on "cool." I like the one mage wandering around who apparently imprinted on Purple Rain-era Prince and has made that her whole look as a high level wizard.
