I wonder how these folks act when invited to the home of people in the real world who have different rules on shoes on or language used? I would like to think some people are more likely to be this way online, but I also think so many people spending so much time online his likely leeched into erosion of basic etiquette IRL.

IRL, many people love some of their colleagues and yet have no particular fondness for their boss. It predates the Internet.

It is sad how many pineapple haters are absolutely dismissive of others thoughts and preferences, but then clutch pearls when it happens to them.

As I recall, all mollusks with external shells can produce pearls, but different species have higher or lower odds of doing so. And of course, not all are considered attractive.
