Good grief. Just once I'd like to say something that is totally uncontroversial and pretty much generally accepted without having to spend pages explaining the point. Is that really too much to ask. I mean, seriously. You are going to challenge THAT statement?
Of course I am! The soteriology of RPGs is not to be taken lightly!

Wife is out of town for a week (helping friend in need) and I go on a 7 day BG3 bender. Then I come back here and see some very long "short bus" threads that appeared during my sleep deprived staycation, which leads me to saying...

aint nobody got time for that GIF

Zeno: Look, the point I just made is as obvious as the earth orbiting around the sun. Why do you keep arguing with it?

Achilles: Well... not go all flat earther on you, but ...

Zeno: sigh What? What is it now?

Achilles: Ak-shually, the earth doesn't orbit around the sun. The earth and the sun are both revolving around a shared center of mass.

Zeno: Really? REALLY? Yeah, okay. But you get the point of what I was saying, so why are you bringing this up?

Achilles: Mostly because I wanted to talk about where all the mass was in the solar system.

Zeno: Um, okay? Where is all the mass in the solar system, Achilles?

Achilles: Yo mama. 'Cuz she so fat!

Zeno: ....I hope you're proud of yourself.

I really think that any time anyone mentions "6 to 8 encounters per adventuring day" they should have to pay me a dollar, and if they leave out the word "adventuring" they should have to pay me five.
