I wonder if MMO players give people who play single-player games the same kind of side eye that group RPG players give solo RPG players.

I don't know about MMO players--they're almost a thing to themselves--but you get some distinct stresses between people interested only in single-player game and PvP or co-op types, in part because its not easy to make a game really good for both.

Yeah. Even within geek spaces there are, unfortunately, ridiculous hierarchies. Raiders look down on regular pve players. Pvp teams look down on pvp battleground players. Etc.

My goodness me, what a day! My oldest daughter has finally flown the coop, and I took the day off to help her move. She insisted on doing all the packing herself and so it took longer than I was expecting ... and then we drove for an hour through rainy day afternoon traffic to her new place, only for her to discover she'd left her house key behind at my house. So we had to leave the truck there and drive all the way home (another hour) to get the key, then go back to her new place (another hour). The unpack was quick because she had friends helping. Then I had to drive back home again through the rush hour traffic (a fourth hour in traffic). I also had to extend the moving truck rental to the next day since I wasn't going to be able to return it before they closed. Needless to say, I am utterly exhausted!
