Why are BMW drivers like that?

They believe laws and courtesy don't apply to them because they falsely think that they are at the top of the pack. BMW are the rich man's poor car. Ferrari, Masareti and Bugatti, etc are top dogs.

Lexus drivers too IME. They're the cars I see weaving in and out of traffic cutting people off the most.

Made the drive home Saturday night from Columbus to Detroit and we got some bad ice/snow.

I made it to a bridge where traffic was stopped because a guy in a Lexus was stuck in the middle of the bridge. Dude must have just had the pedal to the floor, because his back wheels were spinning freely as he just creeped diagonally across four lanes in a pathetic zig-zag pattern until we got over the crest of the bridge and he was able to let gravity take him the rest of the way down.

As bad as he had it.. He was better off than the Camaro driver on the wall.
