Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Don't have any kids, but I do have a five year old dog. He's kind of the opposite. If he sees me getting cheese, and I'm not breaking it apart to give him a piece he gets upset.

Board functionality question: There is a thread I can see when I look at the General Discussion page listing all the subforums. But when I go into the subforum itself the thread is not there. Now, I know this would be the case (since I have noticed it before), if the OP has me blocked (or vice versa) but this is not a user who I have blocked (or vice versa) and if I click on the thread from the General Discussion page I can read it just fine. Weird. 🤷‍♂️

Is it possible the last poster in the thread is someone you have blocked (or someone that blocked you)? I have noticed that this will occasionally cause weirdness in the order threads are displayed in. If this is the case, it could be that the thread is still in the subforum, but much farther down than you expect.

I have a 3-year-old and this is my daily life. At least breaking cheese is an understandable problem (even if not solvable). The worst is when they are so upset and/or have not developed the language skills yet to express/explain what is wrong and your inability to understand makes it even worse.
The first time I heard this I was much younger and hadn't thought of it that way. Once I heard it it made perfect sense, but the idea just never occurred to me. They're communicating to the best of their abilities, but you don't understand. The one that fixes everything doesn't understand them and can't fix this. At the same time they don't understand you and your frustration. I've heard this why some parents started teaching their young ones sign language. They seem to be able to pick it up quickly and use it when verbal communication fails them. Is that still a thing?

Things that made my daughter cry today: she wanted a cheese, and it broke into pieces when she took it out of the wrapper. Never mind that it breaks into pieces when she eats it... this made her break down and cry.

Honestly, I have no idea what to do in this situation.
I've found that sometimes if it also happens to you and you are okay with it, it makes it better. Try breaking up your piece of cheese and eating it with her.

Getting a little too close to SnarF-u with that one.
Like Bruno, we don't talk about Snar fu
