I think there's a difference between being angry and holding grudges--and I say this as someone who can hold a grudge like a professional.There is certainly value in anger. Its kind of a family super power, and at its root was the man whos funeral I just attended, my Grandfather.
Its very very ironic however within my family, that I told my Mom his last words to me when I last saw him years ago.
"I wish I had not held that anger, you have to let things go or you just prevent yourself from doing what you know is right."
He held a mighty grudge for as long as I knew him up to that point, decades of his life, and eventually found the wisdom to let it go.
