There’s a difference between not holding onto a grudge and reconciliation. Just because you’ve let go of the anger at someone doesn’t mean you have to embrace them back into your life. It’s perfectly fine to say “I forgive you, but don’t come around here no more.”

(Not saying it’s EASY, but it’s valid.)
Also not sure you need to forgive to let go of the grudge as such. Im estranged from my Mum and one of my siblings due to disagreement around my life choices. I tried at time to find some path to reconciliation, but just kept getting hurt.
So in end im happily staying estranged, im not holding a grudge or dwelling on it or wishing them unwell, have just decided to move on and not think about it as such, not going to spend energy thinking about them or attempting reconciliation again.

Absolutely to this. One of the biggest benefits of going no contact with certain people is the freedom be apathetic. It's not about grudges, it's not about forgiveness. It's just moving on.
