My daughter has her second ear infection in a row (I don't recall how many overall) and the stronger antibiotic tastes terrible. Getting her to take it is becoming increasingly difficult. I'm currently not doing any of the things she wants to do until she takes the medicine, but I don't feel like this is the best move, parenting wise. I've mixed it with Zarbees, which is a honey-based cough suppressant, but she still resists.

Still, I think I'm doing better than we did last night, when she got so upset at us forcing the medicine on her that she threw up. So, yay, progress...?

That really sucks. I hope that you find a way to get her past this. I was a sick kid (ear infections and multiple bouts of pneumonia, that my chain-smoking parents just couldn't see the reason for :() and the ear infections ultimately resulted in 50% hearing loss in one ear.

Ugh! I feel this so deeply. My wife and I went from dealing with sick 3-year old to dealing with a mostly recovered 3 year old while we were both sick. Just misery all around.

I hope she feels better soon and doesn’t hurt your feelings too much in the meantime.
