Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I bruised the living hell out of my left palm at one point a few years back (braking a fall (which only helped so much) and managing to have the hand land on the edge of a brick) and I learned it is shocking how much you lose when doing that. It'd probably almost be better to have it in a sling because you keep trying to do things with it and find out the hard way its a bad idea.
When I was like ten, I tripped and used my left hamd to stop my fall. But being simultaneously so flexible and so clumsy, my hand fell at an odd position. I sprained my hand and couldn't use it for the rest of the summer.

One summer my sister went to the new skate park with friends (and rollerblades). She didn't wear a helmet. When she fell backwards, she had enough sense and reflex to brace her fall with her arms to avoid a head injury. However, her reflexes weren't that great, because in the process she also managed to break her wrist on one arm and her elbow on the other.

That wasn't a very fun summer for her. Her upper body strength took years to recover.

Wear a helmet, kids.

Man. I spent about four hours Monday shoveling; 3 in the morning to clear mine and my wife's car so I could get to work, and one when I got home so I could park somewhere. Here it is a day and a half later and I still hurt everywhere. When I was thirty-five, it would go away probably after a day. When I was in my twenties, it would go away in half a day. I'm in my late fifties, and it is really lingering.

Getting old sucks, but it sure beats the alternative.

This is me today. Sore all over. My sleep is all messed up right now because I spent yesterday shoveling, didn’t sleep well (you ever be so tired you couldn’t sleep??), and today I basically crashed in the middle of the day. 🙄

I wish I could, but I’m the one who has to get Mom’s wheelchair in & out of the SUV…which is probably how I got the bruise I the first place.🤦🏾‍♂️
