There's practically an entire genre (ok, small genre) that could essentially be called "sanitized historical period pieces". Westerns in particular have a history of cleaning up anything that would be considered negative, although the sensibility of what people would consider "inclusive" has changed a lot over time. High Noon and Johnny Guitar were both considered notably revisionist upon release. Wild Wild West, Shanghai Noon, and Jungle Cruise are more modern examples that are even more revisionist, and much more inclusive. Well, Jungle Cruise is modern, at least.
Its worth noting that revisionist history goes in the other direction, too. Gone With The Wind, for example, is very revisionist in the direction of pro-South, pro-slavery.
Do you really need AI to tell you to try unplugging it and plugging it back in?
I'm tier 2 (at least) and you might be surprised how often tier 1 fails to ask it.As one who was that first line support.. you would be surprised.
Or how often the customer says they've done something and they haven't. Back when I was doing 1st line broadband/tv support, one of our requirements before escalating something to 2nd line was to tell the customer that if this ends up with us sending a technician to their home and it turns out they haven't done the things we ask them to (turn it on and off, try a different cable, etc.), we'd charge them a fee for the tech visit.I'm tier 2 (at least) and you might be surprised how often tier 1 fails to ask it.
I was thinking this as I was watching Stranger Things and as someone who was exactly the same age as those kids in those years, there is A LOT less smoking than I remember both by adults and teens. I understand not wanting to "promote" smoking - but I also think it is possible to show some accuracy while making sure to frame it with a current sensibility. There's practically an entire genre (ok, small genre) that could essentially be called "sanitized historical period pieces".
