Maybe Netflix finally listened to all the criticism they got over 13 Reasons Why, which seems scientifically engineered to create suicidal contagion.

as someone who's attempted it twice thought about doing it more than that, bought both a normal copy and then the anniversary copy of the book (it had an alternate ending where hannah survived along with talking points), the needless change to how she did it made me mad. In the book it was done via pills but the book stopped after clay finished the tapes, while the show showed how both Hannah's death and the tapes rippled through the small town, "Everything affects everything.” indeed. /rant

maybe it's because i'm a redheaded white boy but I tend to roll my eyes when something isn't cast historically accurate,as long as they get other things right or as close as applicable for the budget. Otherwise it's might as well be "a case of murder,arson and jaywalking" for me.

Dang. Just discovered my water main is leaking again. Last time the plumber had to dig a hole in the driveway to fix it. Cost $3000.

We just had Watercare dig a hole in the driveway to fix their leaking sewage pipes. I don't know if it's related, but they don't deal with anything on my side of the water meter, so ...

That's just what we needed right now!

On the other hand, I've started exchanges with tech support telling them what I've done so far, and have them either not believe me or act like they haven't heard me. Since some of these things are time consuming in a few cases, I don't appreciate it, and the fact some other people are idiots doesn't change that.

Or when it takes 20 minutes to get them to accept I am on fiber, not their jank <naughtyword> modem, and when they finally send me to the fiber people that I use my own jank <naughtyword> device, not theirs.

Ours cost $7000 and that was with a friends and family discount, the best deal after getting multiple quotes from different plumbers. I should have been a plumber. Instead I have a useless PhD.
