Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Apple Watches are our current front runners for my parents’ health & safety, at least at home. We’d get the ones that don’t need connectivity to WiFi. (Mom will insist on upgrading the band on hers, if/when we pull the trigger on purchasing them.)
I'm not sure the best approach. He won't care if it's ugly, but it has to be something he remembers to pick up as soon as he gets up in the morning. As I explained to my wife, let's say his cell phone was on his bedside table, instead of on the kitchen table 30' away. He would not have thought of getting it and calling 911 himself -- both because he doesn't think in terms of the modern cell phone, and also because he is unaware of 911 being a thing. His memory is that bad. (Mine isn't quite that bad yet, but I am already seeing the occasional worrying sign...) So, it will need to be something he thinks about.

He wears watches, or at least, he used to. Maybe a "watch" will work. But then, the problem will be he needs to remember it can call 911.... I'm not sure what the right answer is, if there even is one.

There’s also the remembering to charge it and put it back on when it’s done charging. It sounds like that would probably be an issue.

The Apple Watch- and probably some of the others as well- can call 911 by itself if it’s being worn and the wearer becomes nonresponsive after a fall or car wreck.

I find the longer an argument goes on about how a game “should” be run, the more I flip back and forth between the two people arguing before deciding I hope I don’t encounter either of these players at the table
I kinda feel the opposite, wherein the more I flip back and forth the more I think that most of these folk would probably be more amenable to compromise in real life (where getting along has more social cachet) as opposed to “saving face” on the internet.

"Both these things can be true."
