There’s a show called Fight Science*; they get into demonstrations of the physics of how & why things work in martial arts.

One episode, they were looking at the forces involved with strikes like the leopard punch and tiger’s claw. A martial artist would attack a target equipped with a force meter at full power, and they’d note the results. When an actual tiger was given a toy with a force meter, the results of the cat at play were as high or higher than the martial artists striking in earnest.
