I can also see my instinct to take a few days off everything but this thread because I was finding myself prone to going in ready to take on all comers was sound; whether its me, other people being extra, or a combination of the two I've seen probably a half dozen posts my responses right now would have gotten me into an obvious fight. Not required to, of course. But its not an incomprehensible position.

I mean, half of compaints in the RPG sphere can be summarized as some version of "I wish a game existed with [particular set of traits] and was well known and popular enough I could get a game of it going or join one." Resistance to reactions to that can usually be summarized as violating one of the pieces of that (game must already exist, must have those traits, and be reasonably popular].

Essentially, yeah, they do want a pony.

Exactly. But there's always the problem of getting other people to actually try your homemade pizza. Even with all these professional chefs, Michelin-star restaurants, and fast food options, something like 99% of the people still refuses to even consider anything other than that one pizza place in Des Moines, Iowa. Which is great for that one shop, but hell for everyone else.
