I'm working on this house of mine, in part, in an effort to get it ready for when (if) I need to move on short notice to get a new job, so I hear that.

As an army brat, our family had to get accustomed to prepping our house for sale, sometimes on short notice.

Fix the obvious problems & use neutral paints. If there’s something about the house that could be considered a selling point, take the time & money to showcase it.

The last house we sold had a bathroom we had to repair & remodel due to a plumbing disaster. I kid you not, that remodel sold the house before the sign went up on the lawn.

Apropos of nothing, I’ve always thought that Morrus was super handsome and smart. And ruling with an iron fist is really just the most logical way to do things.

Today I realized one of the things I'd do if I had naughty word you money is keep a lawyer around specifically to cite in internet arguments, and I'm not sure I like what that says about me.

I have also thought that in a "if I win the lottery" or similar situation, I would be tempted to get a JD and use it to start lots of lawsuits against all those little PITA things that everyone knows are wrong, but are absolutely not worth the cost of litigation. Suing over false advertising in internet ads, rounding errors on sales tax, going after fly-by-night timeshare scammers just to make them run faster and harder from their past in hopes that it becomes unprofitable, that sort of thing.

Then I get tired and put on reruns of Law and Order. So it goes.

Don’t get the JD yourself- hire hungry lawyers- you’ll skip 3+ years of hassle.

Heck, endow a law clinic at some school so that JDs to be and freshly minted lawyers could get some guided trial work, without having to worry about making a profit.

This is basically imagining being a comic book hero, but actually being helpful. Nothing wrong with that. Definitely better than dressing as a bat and punching people.
