Any thread of appreciable length that is about a given TTRPG topic tends to devolve into a few people talking past each other ad nauseam. The person with the highest score is actually the one who bails on that thread before it turns into that.

Occasionally, against my better judgement, I have kept reading those threads wondering if either side will eventually bend a little. They do not.
