Plane Shift Dominaria

I have now ordered the art book.

Having read the planeshift article in a little more detail, Wyatt does mention that he limited what regions were in the article to just a single continent, it probably would have been a lot more work for him to include much of the rest of Dominaria. I really would like to get a high definition of the map of Dominaria for a game, much like established DnD settings, I think you could spend years playing in just this setting.

This is why perhaps Dominaria should have been left for a hardcover.

Male = Demons, Female = Angels seems incredibly sexists towards men.

Well it's sexist both ways really, and pretty uninspired if true.

Well, somewhat randomly (I was looking up information on Benalia on MTG Wiki and like all good wikis I never finish a page, instead moving on to another), I've found some examples of angels depicted as male. Gabriel Angelfire was, until the Amonkhet block, the only angel depicted as male, all the rest had been female. With Amonkhet you also get the angel of sanctions and seraph of the suns depicted as male. As far as I know, those are it.

That was pretty thorough, now for them to do one for Zendikar!

Got to say, not the best Plane Shift we had. Maybe it's because Dominaria feels closer to the "generic D&D land" mold than the others, but none of this really inspired me, and the races were pretty lackluster.

So, I have to ask; is there any way to get the various MtG Art Books that these Plane Shifts are tying into in Australia?

I got mine from Amazon. From what I've heard though, Amazon Australia is a bit rubbish. I'd say that you be able to find them at any major booksellers though. Possibly also at sellers of MtG cards.

It's ok. Dominaria has the problem that its really close to generic D&D land and all the more interesting points of history already happened.

Like that time they had another ice age

Or that time H.R. Geiger and friends came to visit and they duked it out in mechs

Or that time two sociopathic brothers ruled the world and waged a world war... Then caused the ice age.

Far as I knew, Australia doesn't have an Amazon outlet. But then, I live around Toowoomba, so maybe it hasn't reached us yet.

Guess I'll have to ask at the book stores and at my FLGS. Don't suppose you can list for me the books we've had so far?
