Fhetek crosses his arms, rolling his eyes in consternation. Factions - feh. Idiots running around killing each other over whose club has found the meaning of life. There's some kind of irony there...

Disable that tattoo, before I rip it out of your flesh!” One of the guards snarls.

The guard's command snaps Fhetek out of his reverie in an instant, and he claps a hand to his own tattooed scalp. Casting about, he slowly realizes he wasn't the one being spoken to, and resumes his previous posture, eyes still twitching from side to side.

"Perhaps the aasimar are not what they seem," Gran'shra suggests as he fingers his chain and watches for signs of further trouble. He checks to see what kinds of weapons the aasimar are using, and considers what might be most affected by a shatter spell.

Shadrin meets the strange gaze of the investigator. He sighs deeply before speaking.

"So some Dead turn up even deader. Shouldn't we be celebrating their finding of the True Death or something? I don't care that some gully got pealed over some faction nonsense, alright? You are keeping me from some business and wasting my time. Wasting everyone else's time, too. You already scoped out the contents of my box and you know I'm innocent...of this, at least. So, how about your hurry this along?"

Gran'shra Notes that the Aasimaar is wearing a breastplate armor made of some fluidic, flexible metal. Each has two swords sheathed on either side of him. The robes that are beneath their armor flow down to their dark leather boots. Their clothing appears to be of fine quality. They appear to be twins by not only the way they dress, but also by facial appearence. The handsome planars both have bright, amber eyes, flowing orange hair, and a strange marking, possibly a tatoo on the left side of their neck. The tatoo is black and sinous, but other than that, it can't be made out from the distance Gran'shra is standing.

In response to Shadrin's response, the Sodkiller that just spoke gives the Ranger a steely gaze:

Don't tell me what to do, berk....Lest I change my mind about having you released.

As soon as he replies, the Aasimaar are escorted away from the scene, surrounded by at least 10 Sodkillers.

"Perhaps they are not what they seem, but it seems they had previous problems with these guards..."

This is a quite uncomfortable situation for Blaze, who just does nothing apart from waiting now... until his curiosity gets to ask questions.

"Saib" dircting himself at the Sodkiller with genuine interest "did the other victim die in the same way?"

Gran'shra visibly relaxes. "For a moment I thought there was to be violence," he murmurs although there also seems to be a hint of disappointment in his eyes. Some parts of his hobgoblin nature are not easily surpressed.

Yes, the guard replies as he turns to the Genasi, exactly the same way - no apparent physical nor magical marks. The investigators are mages, but also have some degree of psionic ability. They are trying to establish a psionic link with the soul of this Dustman.

"So you are doing a complete investigation... the Tower of Krak al-Tawil wouldn't do something as throughly as this" Blaze looks how the sodkillers with the twins disappear and adds "what about poison, Saib?"

Actually he wants to hear it was poison... otherwise, it was one of the things like the Dusk Walkers at the City of Brass... able to kill with its mere gaze, sucking the flame from within... but that's the tales of the mad...

Fhetek's sullen demeanor cracks just a bit, as the guard's explanation piques his interest. "They believe they will succeed?" he asks somewhat incredulously. "Well, I commend them if they do - such is traditionally the province of divine magic, and I know of no mage who has yet been able to replicate the process. The forseeable success of my own research notwithstanding, of course..."
