Player looking to "jazz up" character

Yes... you COULD do this... but I don't see why you WOULD - because you'd suck an attack of opportunity from the fighter when you threw the dagger at him point blank.

So bascially, why would you ever want to use rapid shot in combination with melee attacks unless you either A) Absolutely positively NEEDED to do more damage to it this turn or B) Knew that there was very little chance the fighter would hit you with an AoO.

As Darklone points out:

"The only movement you can take during a full attack is a 5' step. You may take the step before, after, or between your attacks."

There's also the situation where the opponent has already made an AoO this round and you're sure he doesn't have Combat Reflexes...

Given that halflings get a +1 attack bonus with thrown weapons, a +1 ranged attack bonus through PBS, and generally have a higher Dex than Str, your attack bonus actually improves despite the penalties for attacking with two weapons.

Right, Hyp. Guess that's why :D

Now wait... did I do this right?

Assuming a dex of 20 ... 4 feats (Weapon Focus, PBS, Rapid Shot, Quickdraw)
BAB +3, size +1, PBS +1, racial +1, Dex +5, Weapon Focus +1...

Makes for three daggers at +6/+6/+6. Not too bad at 3rd level. Though I'd forget that level ranger and would rather go rogue/fighter with weapon spec in this case... More fun in the long run.

Just a question. Could that halfling use throwing axes and one dagger for the Ambidex off hand attack (light weapon) without further penalties? Would be worth it as long as he does not have Weapon Spec.

Just wondering... a halfling can throw throwing axes, but a human can't as easy throw battle axes :D? Or are there large sized throwing axes in some obscure d20 supplements out there?

Actually, I was referring to both Throwing and Returning on the weapon. The player and I discussed the whole "arc" throw, but decided it would be a PITA to tactical. So we're just going with a straight "There & Back Again: a Double-Sword's Holiday." line :D

Pity returning doesn't return automatically to allow full attacks. You could simulate a full atack special effect wise with some ninja scroll action.

Did you remember that if he makes a ranged attack in the same round as he uses both hands to attack, the ranged attack does not gain the reduction in penalty that the Two-Weapon Fighting feat provides?

I did not. I didn't know this, actually. Thanks; if the PC ever gets back into the game, I'll have to go over it with the Player.
