Seems to see that part of what makes D&D popular is much the same thing that makes it work well for streaming.

Brand recognition?

There are many, many reasons why D&D (and specifically 5E) is as popular as it is. Part of that is brand recognition, part is streaming, part is that it's a decent system with broad appeal that can be used for a wider span of games than some other systems (and less than others of course). I don't know if anyone will ever know all the factors. But CR is only one of the reasons.
