I think the PrC is poorly designed, only allowing fighters and psionic warriors to enter due to the requirement weapon specialization, and too much emphasis on close range archery: Archery is IMO a long range ability, and I am sure that my players would get pissed off if I keep sundering their bows, even though it would make sense for me to do it with the archer within 30 ft. anyway, hence stopping the nasty sneak attacks.
Bow Init Rock
I once had a bow init, i was having 5 attacks around all with extra sneak damage. Our quest was to kill 4 hags in a cave that were giving a neiberhood problems. Ist round Fighter in our group runs forward and hits the hag, Its now my turn 5 shots later i catch all the hags flat footed and kill them all. Quest over. Another example of how handy a bow init is, we were fighting a dragon that was flying around its cave the fighter was rooted to the floor and was unable to attack, the dragon was resisting the spells of the caster but not me i was able to get my full attacks in without any penalty. I managed to hit it every round. I breathed on me doing 90 points of breath damage but luckily for me the priest had cast a Prot from fire which absorbs the 1st 100 and odd damage.You can get into close range fighting and actually be better to attack and damage, and the defenders dont get attacks of oportuniity on u either.Also if u combine the Init with a woodland sniper some DMs have mentioned that they will ban the character. Awesome the best character so far i have had. In fact someone else in our group has got a Bow init now he was so impressed.
