I NEVER SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE!
Please, don't put words in my mouth. I consider this very rude.
You said it was very difficult for a nonhuman, requiring significant sacrifice. The simple fact is that it isn't.
In all of my arguments, I have illustrated the costs of getting it at minimal level because that is where the sacrifice is greatest. I have given examples of how fulfilling the requirements causes a character to adjust their selection of skills and feats.
It is a minimal adjustment for most Wizards, almost trivial in most cases. When you account for the fact that you can take the PrC as late as 11th level and still gain maximal benefit from it, the costs become insignificantly trivial.
In your opinion, the costs are minimal. To me, they look in line with what I see for other PrCs designed for wizards. If anything, I believe the Loremaster to be slightly underpowered in comparison to other PrCs.
The Loremaster is a slightly charged up version of the Wizard, a few more skill points, a group of neat but noth stunning added abilities, a loss of familiar advancement. I don't think it is underpowered for a PrC, but I don't think it is on the high side of the PrC power scale either. (Where the Loremaster truly shines is as an adjunct to another PrC, for example a Wizard5/MotAO10/Loremaster5 set up, but that is another story).
We both obviously understand exactly what the tradeoffs are. What we disagree on is if it is too good a deal.
I have never said it was too good of a deal. I'm not sure how you got this impression. I have said it is a good option for almost any Wizard, since your abilities naturally flow towards fulfilling the requirements, making picking up the rest of them a very minimal cost effort.
