Holy crap is this true about the forums?
Depends on how you define transphobia. On the Paizo boards even just disagreeing with a trans poster who then complains about being hurt by that already counts.
I have even seen a post of a user who sees himself as an ally flat out stating that he rather removes himself from a discussion before he has to disagree with a poster who is trans while others write lengthy apologies that they said something a trans poster did not like.

Basically after the outcry about Paizo not allowing a trans employee to room with other people during conventions they are in full damage control mode and will do anything to please the trans community.

Yeah... that characterisation of the multitude of issues facing trans posters on the Paizo forums recently is wildly inaccurate.

Typical, though, that trans people are being portrayed as oversensitive or that the actual transphobic practices of certain posters (including vaguely gestering and talking about 'reasonable debates' and 'politics' in any thread that just so happens to deal with trans related issues; disrespecting trans peoples pronouns and going as far to call people 'it'; constantly saying that trans posters are 'abrasive' and 'rude' to people making fairly nasty statements; and all manners of other dogwhistles) are being minimised. Despite the fact htat disagreements are very, very much allowed, even including around some sensitive issues, when there is good faith and not active transphobic shite happening.

Luckily, the situation has and continues to be rectified by the Customer Service team, who are making it very, very clear that transphobia and bigotry is not to be tolerated, and have started to suspend users engaged in bigotry or trolling.

EDIT:

It's almost as if they're trying to address the transphobic practices and transphobic members of the community to, you know, protect trans people. 'Anything to please'... as if the demands are unreasonable. :/

While I am not knowledgable about moderation styles on other message boards, that sounds highly unlikely. That said, if you want to comment on Paizo's forum moderation, do so there, please. Cross-board drama is not appropriate here. Thanks.
