So, with all the controversy surrounding the product, I'm just wandering how you all will respond to its release.

I've read the hype, I've read the counter-anti-hype, I've checked out the website.

I think I have even less use for this one than for The Book of Vile Darkness, which has currently no place in any campaign I am running, but players still like to talk about.

But, and this is 100% sarcasm free, I hope those of you who buy it find that it meets and exceeds your needs.

Probably not, but who knows. I've used several elements from the BoVD, so it may have something to offer (besides Elf Porn).

I wasn't going to buy it, but I think I will now judt to pss WOTC off, thanks to their new nazi D20 Liscense.

Wow! It's not often that someone invokes Godwin's Law only three posts into a thread. That's gotta be some kind of record!

Back to the subject at hand, I can't forsee ever using the BoEF in any of my campaigns. Role-playing sexual encounters, to me at least, seems immature and childish rather than "mature" and "adult."

I already have too many rules and can't think of any reason why I would need these. I grew up with playing with all guys and after someones mom listened to an awkward in game conversation and then asked us some weird questions, we involked the no sex in RPing, that includes seducing. I can come up with DCs for suduction if it comes to play, but I don't want to roleplay it and I have not found a need to expand its roll in my game. Now if I was the guy playing with all stewartesses, then it might be a different story.

Buy yes, use no.

I am going to buy it as I feel it was morally wrong for WotC to try and silence it and morally wrong to harm the rest of the community as well in that attempt.

So I will support the book on principle.

I'm in the camp that is buying it to support Anthony Valterra and his efforts against the ridiculous new d20 license. That, and the idea of a book full of elf-pr0n makes me giggle. I don't forsee using it in a campaign.
