Poor lil paladin's lost his way.

Hi,

After me mage died a while ago I got to create a character to replace him which was mainly a paladin and a few levels of annointed kinght too. The problem is is that, at most, I only want another couple of levels in AK and then what? Fist of Raziel looked really good but me stumpy dwarven companion beat me to it so that's a no go! He's not really geared for riding much so Cavalier is another no go so I've sorta settled on trying to get back to being a paladin. Problem is that once you've left that proffesion, no one wants you back, boo hoo. So how could I arrange this? Would a slightly modified Attonement work.

Please help me regain my faith.......oh yeah, and my smiting hehe! :D

How about Templar? The 3.5 version will be out within a few days in Complete Divine, but if you're in a hurry, the "In the Works" article for April and beyond on the WotC site has the class details.

I was under the impression that if you took a paladin related PrC then that ugly No Comming Back rule didn't apply. Same for monks. This could, of course, be just another House Rule that I have adopted wihout even really thinking about it.

Just seems reasonable that if you first advance as a regular paladin and then take, say, 10 levels of Golden Knight you can go back taking those regular paladin levels without a problem. The same goes for monk and, say, Brother of Steel.

Hospitaler is more of an NPC class, the purpose is at odds with most adventures (the whole never travelling around except to rescue pilgrims or relics bit), and even if that does make sense in your campaign, the class is pretty horribly overpowered (not so much for a paladin, but a cleric hospitaller.... ugh)
